5 Words/Terms Every Christian Ought To Know

There is a lot to be studied in Christendom and I will want you to know some words that are used on a daily basis that are not so difficult to understand and knowing these can enhance your ability to study and share the gospel with all.

I will not go in-depth to explain what these words mean but I will give you an overview, and you go on to do the rest of the work, for studies is good for your soul especially if it is from the Lord God.

Justification: This is the action of being declared righteous in the sight of God because of Christ’s atonement for sin on the cross. In other words, we are saved/justified because of Christ’s finished work on the cross.

Sanctification: I believe you have heard this many times. As a Christian, after being justified by God because of Christ’s finished work on the cross, the Holy Spirit aids in your sanctification, in other words, the Holy Spirit helps you to live set apart for Him. In simple terms, to live a holy life is to live in sanctification.

Predestination: This is the doctrine that God has ordained all and everything that will happen, especially with regard to the salvation of some and not others. This teaching has been associated with John Calvin (French theologian and reformer in Geneva during the Protestant Reformation).

Sovereignty: If you are Christian I’m sure you have come across this word. If you have not then I’m glad you found this blog. This is associated with God who is all-powerful and everything is under His control. Everything!

Exposition (Expository Preaching): Exposition in Christendom is a form of preaching that details the meaning of a particular text or passage of Scripture. In simple terms, the preacher explains what the Bible means by what it says. This style of sharing the gospel goes against what is popular – telling the people what they want to hear.

I hope this helped. There are hundreds of terms in the Christian circle which we need to be familiar with. Know of any, share them in the comment section.

May the grace of our Lord be with us all.

Photographers, How To Get Your Models (Clients) To Be On Time

Wait time fee is a per-minute charge which starts a few minutes after a driver arrives at your location and continues until the driver starts the trip. The fee helps to compensate for the driver’s efforts and time spent waiting. This is what modern taxis do. What I mean by modern taxis is the new transport services with the use of technology like Uber, Bolt, Yango and Taxify. You compensate the driver when you delay, or to simply put, you are charged a fee when you delay. As the old saying goes: “Time is money.” The Lombardi Time Vince Lombardi, the football coach was known for his punctuality. Lombardi time was defined as “fifteen minutes before the scheduled time.” If the bus was scheduled to leave at 9:00am, all the players were trained to be there at 8:45am. If you weren’t there, the bus would leave without you. How Can Photographers Practice This Simple. Make sure you communicate this in your contract or when you are speaking to any potential client. WE ARE LIVING IN THE RENAISSANCE

We live in a world where it is not impossible to be a renaissance person. What does it mean to be a renaissance person? The renaissance is associated with people who could and can do more than one thing very well especially when it comes to the arts. Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Pablo Picasso are some of the few names that have been associated with the renaissance period. They were the universal men. The renaissance men of the past were men who were specialized in more than a thing. I know artists who think being an artist means sticking to one thing for the rest of your life. No, you can explore more and do more providing you have the skill and knowledge. I made a post on Instagram about photographers refusing to be called photographers because they think being called a photographer does not mean being an artist. In this post, I explained that being a photographer means being an artist, a visual artist for that matter. I got a comment from a photographer friend who said "I...

"Jesus," The Name Of A Slave Ship?

One of the first two English slave ships to carry West Africans to the New World was named Jesus. Jesus of Lübeck. Its captain was Sir John Hawkins, known as the first English slave trader. Now, it is believed, or it's historically true that this ship was one of the first to ever land the shores of West Africa to carry slaves from here to the western world. According to journalist Michael Eli Dokosi, Sir John Hawkins persuaded West Africans to gain salvation by boarding the Good Ship Jesus.  Now, let's talk a little about the ship.  Jesus of Lübeck was a carrack built in the Free City of Lübeck in the early 16th century. Around 1540 the ship, which had mostly been used for representative purposes, was acquired by Henry VIII, King of England, to augment (increase) his fleet (warships).  The ship saw action during the French invasion of the Isle of Wight (Island in England) in 1545. She along with Samson were used in an unsuccessful attempt to raise Henry VIII’s flagship, M...
